Lance Chastain

Chairman & CEO

 

Lance Chastain is a Managing Principal of Revayah Capital. Lance has founded, advised, and led multiple businesses from concept to start up with two reaching double-digit multimillion-dollar global sales and aggregate revenues in excess of $250mm.  His global C-level leadership and operating experience has been utilized across a range of business sectors and markets in startup, turnaround, operating, and high growth scenarios. He holds two patents for technology and industrial product design and has won numerous awards for product innovation, design, and performance. He studied Mandarin Chinese at Wichita State and holds a BBA with a minor in Management (Magna Cum Laude) from Wichita State University’s Barton School of Business.

Clif McElyea

Chief Financial Officer

 

Clif McElyea joined Trans-Tel since 2008 and became CFO in 2013. He has broad experience in all aspects of accounting, financial management, taxation, and strategic planning. From 1995 to 2008, Clif held various positions of increasing responsibility in both public accounting and private companies. He holds a BS in Accounting from University of Central Oklahoma and a Certification in Government Contracting from George Mason University.

Mark Sorrells

Director of OEC Operations

 

Mark Sorrells has over 25 years of experience in the telecommunications field. He has been with Trans-Tel a total of 19 years and manages all the Company’s field employees and subcontractors for all DOD, government, and commercial projects. He holds an extensive list of certifications: ITIL, BICSI, Leviton, Panduit and OSHA 40 along with the highest level of operational expertise, knowledge, and experience in the field. Under Mark’s operational leadership, the company has built a reputation for high quality, on-time, on-budget contract performance in highly sensitive and secure CONUS and OCONUS environments – military bases, Federal and State Government campuses, hospital complexes, refineries, chemical plants, and educational campuses.

Brad Fischer

Director of Engineering

 

Brad Fischer RCDD, has been with Trans-Tel for over 20 years and has extensive experience in engineering, furnishing, installing and testing communications systems. Brad specializes in the design and installation of various Inside Plant and Outside Plant Distribution Systems including fiber optic and copper cabling systems and manhole and duct systems. He is certified in all the required disciplines to work on DOD Contracts.

Kevin Meyer

Director of Eastern OSP Operations

Kevin Meyer, RCDD/OSP, ITILv3 brings over 35 years of communications infrastructure design, management and implementation of Federal, State/Local Government and Commercial projects across the US and around the world. His background as a FedGov Prime Contractor coupled with his active involvement with Industry Standards through the Building Industry Consulting Services, International (BICSI) where he holds his Registered Communications Distribution designer (RCDD) and Outside Plant Specialty (OSP) certifications and his knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITILv3) framework of best practices to manage IT operations and Services makes him uniquely qualified to handle large comprehensive projects. Kevin is retired Military, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business Administration and maintains an active Top Secret – SCI eligible Clearance.

Bobby Purvis

Director of Safety, Assets, & Facilities

 

Bobby Purvis Joined the Trans-Tel management team and brings over 30 years of Safety and Project Management experience with him. Bobby has been instrumental in the establishment of Safety programs worldwide in both the Government and Civilian sectors. Bobby has an extensive background in the Aerospace- Oil and Gas –General Industry and Energy Fields. Bobby holds a very broad array of OSHA certifications as well as being a Certified Commercial Pilot and Flight Instructor for the United States Naval and Air Force Pilot Candidate programs. Some of Bobby’s past Employers are NASA-Boeing-Nestle and The National Safety Council. Bobby holds a Master of Science in Aeronautical Engineering from Emery Riddle and also holds a PMP certification.

Danny McConnell

Business Development

 

Danny has been with Trans-Tel a total of 15 years. He started as a laborer and as a result of his work ethic, productivity, leadership, and detailed understanding of the critical factors for operational success, rose through the ranks to hold positions of Site Manager, Project Manager, Regional Operations Manager, Engineering, and Program Manager. He has extensive knowledge in telecommunications design, engineering, and deployment for the Federal, State, Municipal, and Commercial markets in which Trans-Tel operates. His experience, expertise, and detailed understanding of the business, provides Danny a unique and compelling ability to successfully and efficiently work with customers to achieve their objectives on projects of virtually any size or scope.

John Brothers

Director of Engineering & Estimating - Security

 

John Brothers has over 35 years of professional experience in the Telecommunications and Physical Security industries.  He has performed in leadership roles for Harris Corporation, Alcatel USA, Cisco and General Dynamics as well as large Security Integration projects for Chevron Texaco, Tyson Foods and Carnival Cruise Lines.  John has extensive experience in engineering, program & project management and field operations.  He holds certifications with Infragard (FBI), Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) and is a licensed Security Manager in the State of Oklahoma.

John Dunlap

Director of Operations - Security

 

John Dunlap has 25 years of experience in the physical security industry. He has worked for high profile integrators, including General Dynamics, and has managed those Company’s field employees and subcontractors for countless commercial projects. He holds several manufacturer certifications along with the highest level of operational expertise, knowledge, and experience in the security field.  Under his leadership, the companies he has worked for have built a reputation for high quality, on-time, on-budget contract performance in highly sensitive and secure environments – Military Bases, Government facilities, Hospital facilities, Oil & Gas Refineries and School campuses.

Jodi Thompson

Director Human Resources

 

Jodi Thompson joined the Trans-Tel senior leadership team in June 2018 and brings over fifteen years of human resources expertise from the oil and gas sector.  Jodi is a seasoned HR professional who has extensive experience with organization design, leadership and policy development, compensation, employee relations, employee development and recruitment.  Jodi is known for her ability to translate business objectives into HR initiatives to enhance employee engagement, improve performance and growth to achieve business outcomes.

 

In addition to human resources, Jodi was a member of the Safety Steering Team and Safety Incident Review Team led by senior management.  Jodi chaired the Safety Involvement Team for eight years, which focused on safety initiatives to promote a safe workplace.   Jodi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from Southern Nazarene University and graduated with a Summa cum Laude distinction. Additionally, she earned several awards such as a Leadership Award in 2013 and a “Dedicated to the Core” Employee Award in 2015-2016 for recognition of her outstanding efforts.

John Sanders

Director of Midwest Operations

 

John Sanders has been with Trans-Tel since 2012 and has over 40 year’s experience in the telecommunications industry.  John serves as the Director of Midwest OSP Operations at Trans-Tel and oversees fiber to the home and government projects throughout the Midwest.  John has a wealth of experience managing underground and aerial OSP projects across the United States.

 

John’s career began when he attended the cable vision training center in Saint Charles, Missouri and finished second in his class.  After graduation, John held the position of Lead Installer, Lead Technician and was later promoted to Operations Manager.  In 1990, John started Superior Cable Inc., a CATV installation company and served as the President and CEO for over twenty-four years. Superior Cable Inc. became the prime contractor for several cable television companies over a four-state region.  John holds several safety certifications including OSHA 30 and confined space.
